Learning to Trust God in our By-The-Numbers World

Pete Holzmann
Founder and Executive Director, The International Christian Technologists' Association

www.icta.net

How does an entrepreneur combine recognized Silicon Valley success with faithful dependence on the Lord? How does God use that for His purposes? Pete will share insights from his extensive involvement in both "industry" and "ministry" tech initiatives.

Online giving for mission agencies, serving the church in restricted areas, teaching tech folk to lean on God and the impact of high technology on the worldwide church are some of Pete's recent interests.  ICTA has started to lead Spirit-Led Technology small groups in local churches for high tech professionals.

What do we need to ask our churches to teach us for the 21st century?

Pete is a Member in Mission with Menlo Park Presbyterian Church.  On the day that his first daughter was born, Pete's wife Leslie gave her full support to Pete as he quit his Silicon Valley engineering job to become a consultant. They were obeying God’s call to completely to give themselves (beyond their checkbook) for His purposes.

Pete is widely known in the mission world as a technology leader, with decades of service in traditional secular high tech work. He was instrumental in the “discovery” of the 10/40 Window, serves on the board of several global ministries and continues to consult, speak and teach on technology in ministry. Pete is Founder/Executive Director of ICTA.  He has a degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
